About mYPITA

The Middle Years Provincial Intermediate Teachers’ Association is one of BCTF’s largest Professional Specialists’ Associations. 

myPITA helps teachers through:
  • Annual Fall Conference
  • Annual Spring Conference
  • Newsletters mailed to members that are full of tips and lesson ideas.
  • Monthly e-newsletter with resources and opportunities
  • Resources on our website such as chapter summaries and tests for over 300 novels; and lesson plans and strategies posted by presenters and teachers.
  • Advocacy for Intermediate and Middle School teachers.

Or you can write for us!

If joining a committee is more of a commitment than you can make, consider writing up a lesson or an article on an element of education that is important to you for us to include in our newsletter, or encourage a coworker to offer up some tips, tricks, or engaging lessons. Our Newsletter editors LOVE submissions and will happily work with you to tailor them to the newsletter specifications. You can email your article to [email protected]

Membership fees:

Active BCTF Members: $25.00
Retired BCTF members, TTOCs, and Teacher-Candidates: $15.00
Subscriber-non-BCTF members: $65.00
