Picture
Apply to present at the Provincial Intermediate and Middle Years Teachers' Association (myPITA) 2026 Fall PSA Day Conference on Friday, October 23, 2026. This conference will be delivered in person at SFU Harbour Centre in downtown Vancouver and online. Submit your workshop proposal by noon on March 6, at https://sessionize.com/mypita.

Accepted myPITA workshops are a combination of lectures and hands-on experiential learning that deliver BC curriculum-aligned information and exemplify best practices about any subject or topic relevant to Grades 4–9 intermediate and middle school teachers from across the province. During the workshop, attendees should receive information, techniques, and resources that they can immediately implement in their classroom without purchasing any resources; therefore, workshops that are promotional or that sell a product or service are not accepted.

Perks of being a myPITA presenter include:
  • Sharing your knowledge and experience with teachers from across the province.
  • A per-workshop honorarium for teacher-presenters.
  • Complimentary conference registration and myPITA membership for BCTF members.
  • Visit https://sessionize.com/mypita for more information.
Submit your workshop proposals by noon on March 6 at https://sessionize.com/mypita.

Important notes:
  • The majority of the 75-minute workshops will be delivered online. Online workshops are more likely to be included in the conference program. Workshops selected to be delivered in person and again online will be provided with a room to deliver the online workshop. For the proposed schedule and for more information, please visit https://sessionize.com/mypita.
  • Workshops will be 75 minutes in length. The proposed concurrent schedule for the day is:
    • Session A 8:45 AM - 10:00 AM
    • Session B 10:15 AM - 11:30 AM
    • Lunch is provided for all on-site presenters
    • Session C 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM
    • Session D 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM.
  • Workshops that require participants to purchase resources will not be accepted.
  • Online presenters must have a reliable high-speed internet connection. myPITA will provide the Zoom meeting.
