Provincial Intermediate and Middle Years Teachers' Association (myPITA)
The Provincial Intermediate and Middle Years Teachers’ Association (myPITA) is a Provincial Specialist Association of the BC Teachers’ Federation (BCTF) that supports Grades 4–9 educators by providing professional development, teaching resources, and opportunities for collaborative practice. At its core, myPITA is teachers supporting teachers.

Early-bird registration benefits until noon on September 30. Over 45 in-person and 70 online workshops for Grade 4–9 teachers! Friday, October 23 – online and in-person at SFU Harbour Centre, Vancouver, BC. SFU Harbour Centre is located across the street from Waterfront Station, and within walking distance from the Hullo ferry and Harbour Air. mypita teacher inquiry program
Apply by 9 am on September 29 to join myPITA’s online teacher inquiry program. We will explore the development of scope and sequence by examining the connections between pedagogical beliefs, instructional planning, assessment, and classroom practice. Together, participants will investigate and develop BC Curriculum-aligned scope-and-sequence examples across a variety of subject areas to support intermediate and middle-years teachers. myPITA Continuing Education GranT
myPITA is helping myPITA members who are BCTF members to improve their skills and increase their capacity as teachers by offering $500 Continuing Education grants. You must be a myPITA member and a BCTF member to qualify. Fall 2026 grant applications are due by 9 AM on November 12, 2026.
