Notice of Special General Meeting – Constitution Approval
Dear myPITA Members,
We invite you to attend a Special General Meeting (SGM) of myPITA.
Purpose of the Meeting
The purpose of this meeting is to present and seek member approval of a proposed Constitution that will enable myPITA to formally register as a society in British Columbia.
Meeting Details
Date: Thursday, May 14, 2026
Time: 3:30 pm
Location: Zoom. To receive the Zoom meeting link, register by 9 am on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The Zoom link will be sent by 3 pm. To be eligible to vote, you need to be a member in good standing of myPITA and the BCTF.
Background
The myPITA Executive has been working to formalize myPITA’s structure and governance. Transitioning to a registered BC society will provide a clear legal framework and support the organization’s long-term growth and sustainability.
In advance of the meeting, please review the Proposed myPITA Constitution and Bylaws PDF.
Agenda
Voting
To be eligible to vote, you need to be a member in good standing of myPITA and the BCTF.
Approval of the Constitution will require a two-thirds majority of votes cast at the meeting.
We encourage all members to attend and participate in this important step for myPITA’s future.
