myPITA 2024-2025 Partnership Grant
Application deadline: 9 am PST on November 15, 2024.
myPITA is offering Partnership Grants of up to $10,000, for BC organizations to create original scope and sequenced lesson resources for Grade 4-9 teachers that help teachers teach the big ideas, curricular competencies, and content, in other words, unit plans that include lesson plans and supporting materials like slides, worksheets, etc. Priority will be given to first-time applicants, but past recipients are welcome to apply for funding to continue their project or start a new one.
myPITA’s Justice Education unit and lesson plans for Grades 5-7 are examples of a resource created through a past partnership.
The Provincial Intermediate and Middle Years Teachers Association (myPITA) will co-own the copyright for any resources created. myPITA maintains the right to publish the materials developed as they see fit. The partner organization will give myPITA an editable digital copy of all materials developed.
All projects must be completed by the end of the school calendar year, June 30, 2025. myPITA reserves the right to distribute the funds or LOA days will be based on the completion of quarterly reports and goals. In addition to developing a resource to be shared with myPITA members, upon completion of your project, a 300-1,200 word newsletter article about your resource is required.

- Paying staff to research, develop, write, edit, evaluate, or test lesson resources.
- Purchasing a limited number of singular resources to help you develop lesson resources. However, the resources that you create cannot require teachers to purchase books or subscriptions.
- Seconding teachers to develop, facilitate, and provide feedback after trialling the resource(s) in their classroom.
- Other uses upon approval.
The project grant money MAY NOT be used for any of the following:
- Purchasing multiple or classroom sets of materials, including books, equipment, software, etc..
- Training staff including but not limited to the costs associated with attending conferences, workshops, classes etc.

- Name of organization
- Organization mailing address
- Organization philosophy and mission statement.
- Name of primary contact.
- Email address and phone number of the primary contact.
- Explanation of why myPITA should fund your project.
- The requested amount of funding.
- Detailed budget and explanation of how the funds will be used including a project timeline that includes quarterly goals and deliverables.
- Description of the proposed scope and sequenced lesson resources including how the proposed resource(s) will align with the BC curriculum including: focus subject area(s) and grade(s), BC curricular Big Idea(s), curricular competencies, content, etc.
- Any other relevant information.
