myPITA continuing education grant

myPITA is helping myPITA members to improve their skills and increase their capacity as teachers by offering a $500 Continuing Education grant.

Please see the grant application for the due date and eligibility requirements.

Fall 2026 Continuing Education Grant application

An eligible candidate must:
  • Be a current myPITA and BCTF member at the close of the application. To become a myPITA member, attend a myPITA conference or join on the BCTF website. Private/independent school teachers who do not hold a BCTF membership are myPITA subscribers, not members, and are therefore ineligible for the grant. If you have any questions about your membership status, please email [email protected].
  • Be registered and attending classes at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution for the eligible term.
  • Provide proof of enrolment in classes in the eligible term. Enrolment in a program is insufficient; you must provide proof of enrolment in a course. Incomplete applications are ineligible for the grant. Proof of enrolment must include your first and last names, the post-secondary school's name, course name, course start and end dates, and course enrolment status.
  • Not be a current member of the myPITA executive.
  • Not have received a myPITA grant in the last two years.
The myPITA Continuing Education Grant will be awarded to a randomly drawn qualified applicant. Only the successful applicant will be contacted directly by email.
